The...Hostile one?

There was on particular one in the background. He kept on glaring at everyone, sitting on a small cat bed. He looked to be a weird combination of a light brown  and white spots. Unlike some of the cats, he had a collar already. It was red with what looked like a gold cross.  She  edged he self towards him slowly, wanting to see how he would react to he. His fur started rising as she got closer to him and his cat bed, but when he saw she wasn't another cat he made his fur lie flat. He just sat and stared at her as she sat down in front of him. It soon turned into a staring contest.  (Name) never really liked staring contest's but she felt like she shouldn't give up on this one.

They sat there for what seemed hours, until finally the cat blinked and looked away. (Name) didn't know what to make of this but decided to try petting the cat. She gently started petting his head and all he did was give her a annoyed look.

"Well then. Guess you don't like to be petted." (Name) observed. She took her hand back. "Those this cat have any depth to him?" She wondered," I don't care. For some reason I want him."  Slowly, as to nnot completely disturb the cat, she lifted him from the cat bed. He glared at her with a heavy intensity, unhappy that she had moved him. (Name) didn't seem to notice, stuck in her own thoughts.  She really wanted to teach this cat to warm up to people a bit more. Even if it took all her blood, sweat, and time.  She got a cage to put him in, toys, and food for about a month. She was a bit surprised at the cost, but she put up with it.

As soon as everything was packed into the trunk she started driving.

As soon as she got home, the cats ear perked. He started scratching on the cage and make a huge racket.

"Calm down kitty! I let you out as soon as I get everything in the house!" she huffed while shaking under the effort of lifting the bags of cat food into the house. She made a few more trips to the car, grabbing other items from earlier during the day. BY the time she was done she could have sworn her ears were bleeding. (Name) didn't waste any time go back for the cat. The noise was driving her insane. She quickly unlocked the cage as soon as they got in the house. He stopped scratching and walked away from her with his tail high in the air. His nose sniffed the air and he strutted around the house, not leaving and inch unchecked. Laughing, (Name) got ready to go to bed.

As she settled down the go to sleep she noticed two pair of lights in the corner near her door. Her eyes adjusted to the darkness after a few minutes and now she could see that it was her cat.  Her cat. The thought struck her. She needed a name. In a way, the cat reminded her about a childhood friend. She blindly grasped inside her memory for the name. Suddenly she smiled. The name had surfaced again.

"Vash." she mumbled, closing her eyes. She somehow felt a bit more safe now that the cat was watching over her. She turned on her side and snuggled under the covers. She could not wait for the next day with Vash.

Sorry. I tried to be more edscriptive with this one.
